The Heat & Frost Insulators, Firestoppers, and Allied Workers Union Local 5 are dedicated to providing free training and job placement for Post 9-11 veterans hoping to transit into the civilian life again. Veterans will undergo a two month training camp that will give them the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed in this rewarding career in construction. Those who successfully complete the courses will receive direct entry into the apprenticeship program as 1st year apprentices.
Certified Courses include: OSHA, CPR, Lead Abatement, Asbestos Removal, Fall Protection, Applying Insulation, etc.
(Post 9-11 Veterans and active military personnel preparing to leave the service will receive direct entry into the program. Please bring your complete DD-214 form when applying.)
